Shelving Children's DVDs

Please remember we have several areas for shelving the different kinds of children's DVDs:

Main Area Near the Children's Service Desk
Regular fiction DVDs are shelved by (usually) the three first letters in the title of the DVD or the authors last name. Regular nonfiction DVDs, which have just numbers under the DVD, are filed in this section right after the fiction DVDs.

Nonfiction
NF = Nonfiction.  If you see an "NF" under the DVD, these items are shelved with the children's regular nonfiction books.

Foreign Language
SP, FR, SOM, etc. = Foreign Language. If you have letters like this under DVD, and then a row of 3 letters/numbers after that, this indicates these are part of our foreign language collection. These items should be shelved with our foreign language books and materials located at the end of the regular nonfiction book section, between the parenting and holiday sections.

A lot of DVDs are ending up on the wrong shelves. Please shelf read as you are shelving. If you have questions, please ask Pam or Kim.
