In the honor of our new mascot

A few weeks ago we came into the library to find a bat hanging from the acoustic tiling in the hallway. He was rescued and released back into the wild, (well...downtown Rochester). In the honor of our new unofficial mascot I thought I would periodically give you some bat facts.

Mosquitos...irritating pest or tasty treat. If you are a bat then obviously the latter. One little brown bat can eat up to 1,200 midges, mayflies, and mosquitos in an hour. Much cooler than one of those glowing bug zappers.
