Are aliens eating the CDs?

The new CD music shelf looks pretty empty. I don't know if we are seeing more music check outs or aliens are eating the crunchy plastic shell with the creamy mylar center. Whatever the reason, aliens or check outs, our reaction will be the same.
In order to keep the shelf full the new music CDs will remain new for one year.
