Don't forget that Monday, February 16th, President's day, the RPL is closed.
Bit of Library Humor:
Real Library Reference Questions
One hot Friday afternoon this past summer, members of a two-year college library listserve acquired a case of collective silliness and started a discussion of real reference questions they had experienced from students over the years. Here are just a few of them:
Do you have any books by Tennessee Ernie Ford?
How tall was Jesus?
"Do you have a video of Abraham Lincoln?" (Not about him, but OF him).
"Can you help me find the Holy Grail?"
Someone once asked for a color photograph of the Crucifixion.
"I just did my laundry. Will it dry faster if I hang it up in the front yard or in the back?"
A student wanted information on John Lennert of the Beatles.
"How does one become a "notary republic"?"
"Do you have information on the author, Elie Weasel?"
"Do you have any books?" (Asked by a student at the circulation desk with book stacks less than 30 feet away)
